With wisdom well beyond his 34 years of life, he is respected and revered for his innovative thinking, contemporary leadership, business savvy and holistic approach to ministry. As pastor of the historic Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church founded by Reverend Clay Evans, Jenkins has quadrupled weekend attendance, and implemented an innumerable amount of ministries and programs that impact thousands.
Jenkins is committed to underserved communities, leading initiatives that promote education, economic development, economic empowerment and wealth creation. He is a conduit that orchestrates humanitarian initiatives while mobilizing individuals, organizations, and communities toward noble causes.
Additionally, Jenkins is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Christian Education and a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School holding a Masters of Arts degree in Religion.
Demonstrating that a strong leader must first be a humble servant, Jenkins serves on a number of corporate, educational, governmental and religious boards. Some of which include Clear Channel Chicago Advisory Board, Advocate Health Advisory Board, The Hilliard Vocational Institute, Illinois Attorney General Advisory Board, Illinois Treasurer Advisory Board, and Daystar School Board of Directors. Jenkins also serves as a State Commissioner on the Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission working to ensure accountability to the Federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention while focusing on the needs of Illinois juvenile youth.
Jenkins has received many awards, citations, and honors including one of Morehouse College’s highest honors being inducted into The Dr. Martin Luther King Board of Preachers and Scholars.
Charles Jenkins is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Christian Education and a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School holding a Masters of Arts degree in Religion.
A man of balance, Charles Jenkins is married to Dr. Tara Rawls-Jenkins and has two young daughters, Princess and Paris, and one son, Charles Jenkins III.
The Reverend Dr. Clay Evans - Founder
Reverend Dr. Clay Evans, son of A. Henry and Estanuly Evans, was born June 23, 1925 in Brownsville, Tennessee. This history maker has been married to Lutha Mae Hollinshed for more than fifty-nine years and they are the proud parents of five children.
Ordained as a Baptist Minister in 1950, this Illustrious Founding Pastor of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois, is received internationally as a pioneer, church father, and ministerial pacesetter. His work has earned Him countless citations, accolades and honors including, many Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degrees from various institutions of higher learning throughout the country.
Reverend Dr. Clay Evans has been responsible for launching the ministerial careers of ninety-three people, including Mother Consuella York the first female to be ordained in the Baptist Denomination in Chicago. He has been a leader in the Civil Rights Movement since 1965. He is the Founding National Board Chairman of the Rainbow (PUSH) Coalition (Founded by Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr.) holding this position for five years (1971-1976).
He is the Founding President of the Broadcast Ministers’ Alliance of Chicago; (BMA), Founding President and Chairman of the African American Religious Connection (AARC) (1989 to 2006) and board member of the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A. Inc.
Dr. Evans’ unmistakable voice has been heard on many albums with the awarding winning Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church Combined Choirs, and Recording Choir of the African American Religious Connection (AARC).
Dr. Evans is an accomplished author who has penned several books which provide authentic wisdom and spiritual inspiration. Some of them include; From Plough Handle to Pulpit, A Chat with the Elder, Gateway to an Abundant Life, and a book of Sermons of Inspiration entitled "It is No Secret What God Can Do."
Dr. Evans retired on December 8, 2000 as the Pastor of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church passing the mantle to his personally groomed successor Reverend Charles Jenkins. Although Dr. Evans has retired from pastoring, he continues to be a heralded servant of God who continues to serve mankind spiritually, socially, and civically, while he remains one of the most sought after preachers within Christendom.
Reverend Dr. Clay Evans is a man of faith and a man of vision who emphatically believes: "IT IS NO SECRET WHAT GOD CAN DO!"

Dr. Tara Jenkins is a native of Jackson, TN. After failing a 12th grade course that prevented her from
participating in her high school graduation, her educational journey became one of resilience and determination.
She is now a 1997 graduate of Clark-Atlanta University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
She is a 1999 graduate of Moody Bible Institute with a Masters of Arts degree in Biblical Studies.
Then, in December 2005, she became a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Doctorate of
Education in Leadership. Her dissertation topic was "The Identification of Essential Componets for Equipping
Pastors' Wives for Ministry."

Jenkins is a dedicated wife, mother and leader. Jenkins has been married for ten years to Pastor Charles Jenkins,
Pastor of the historic Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, which was founded by the legendary
Dr. Clay Evans. As the First Lady of the over 7,000 member congregation, Jenkins provides leadership to
the Daughters of Royalty Women's Ministry and the Movements of Praise Dance Ministry. She is the proud
mother of two young daughters, 5-year old Princess Alexandria and 3-year old Paris Victoria.

Because God has equipped Jenkins with diverse giftings, she serves others in a multiplicity of ways.
Jenkins is the founder of Ministry Mates-Chicago, an organization designed to minister to Senior Pastors'
wives in the Chicago-land area. Through exciting monthly gatherings, pastors' wives' impact is strengthened
as their impact is broadened.
Jenkins has also launched Ministry Mates Institute for Online Learning. Through this institute, internet-only classes are offered in order for students to complete a 12-credit certificate program designed specifically for pastors' wives. Ministry Mates Institute for Online Learning is fastly establishing itself as the empowerment headquaters for pastors' wives....internationally! Jenkins is the author of "Wisdom for Wives: 21 Things Every Pastor's Spouse Should Know." Her forthcoming devotional, "Moments with the Master," is set to be released Summer 2008! In her spare time, she enjoys offering professional voiceover services. Her voice has been heard on radio spots for Wal-Mart, Toyota and many more.
She lives by the statement, "Strive to be at the top, because the bottom is overcrowded!"
